Non Exploding Ginger Beer 25 litre Recipe

The fantastic recipe I sourced from the Australian Grass Roots Magazine Dec/Jan 2001. The recipe comes from Frank Brehe from Mainland NSW. Thanks Frank this is the best recipe ever.

Now don't bother trying to be fancy with this recipe. Believe me I have been making this recipe for 2 years now and have tried substituting everything and they all failed so straight back to the best original recipe.

Equipment
Beer Brewing Kit (Perfect for this Recipe) 30 lire perfect for this recipe.


Plant
I  cup sugar
1 tbls ground ginger
Juice of two lemons
1 ltr of water

Place all ingredients into lg mason jar in a warm place for three days. Pour off the liquid and feed the sediment daily with 1 large teaspoon of sugar & ground ginger for seven days.

 Method
 3 kg Sugar
15 cups boiling water 
2.5 cups of strained lemon juice
Ginger beer plant
2 tbs ground ginger
Top up water

Into the brewing tub dissolve the sugar with the boiling water. Add cold water until the
mixture is luke warm. Then add the lemon juice and the ginger beer plant and extra ginger .
Stir and top up mixture to make 25 litres.

Store in a warm place for 7 days or until fermentation stops. Bottle into clean glass bottles
or soda bottles work well so long as they a have a strong screw top lid. Consume after six weeks.

Retain half of the sediment and feed for 7 days  for another batch of  refreshing ginger beer.

Passionate about Digital Media, Skilled , Educated, Fifty and Unemployed

I'm fifty,moved to the country but finding meaningful work in a large semi rural town seems to be very challenging indeed. Despite having transferable skills, the ability and life's experience to work, enjoy and be successful at every position that I have applied for, I have for two years remained unemployed despite applying for any job that a slightly overweight, healthy fifty year old could physically and mentally do.

So because my applications to Aldi's and Woolies have not been successful then I will ask if Australia has a digital media job for me. I am willing to relocate anywhere in Australia to produce creative Digital Media Communication for any digital application. Is it only me that can not find a job despite my qualifications?
